Ingredients • 1 (26.20 oz.) Bauducco Panettone (cut 4 slices 4X4X1, cut 4 slices 3X3X1 and 4 slices 2X2X1)

Ingredients for the syrup:

• ½ cup sugar
• ½ cup water
• 1 lime or lemon or orange peel or anise
• ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cinnamon stick

Ingredients for the icing or topping:

• 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
• ¼ cup warm milk or cream
Directions for the syrup Using a small pot with handle at high heat add all ingredients, stir and let it boil until the syrup is ready. Remove the cinnamon stick and the peel and let it cool.


Sift the sugar thru a strainer in a bowl, add little bits of warm milk stirring with a whisk, adding additional milk as necessary until the right consistency is reached. Separate the icing in different small bowls or cups and add vegetable coloring creating three different colors.

In a serving dish or cake dish stack the slices of Panettone, starting with the largest pieces first and brush each slice with the syrup as you go along. Stack them in different angles creating a tree. Spatter the different colors of topping over the tree. If necessary use a piece of chopstick or wood to secured the slices of Panettone.
